If you want learn about animation history and improve your understanding of animated film, then this book is for you. It contains some very interesting theories.		.Leonard Maltin covers whole a generation of Hollywood cartoons, including Betty Boop and Steven Spielberg's "An American Tail"		This book provides an excellent insight into the world of animation before Walt Disney setup his studios. It's not widely available, but is a worthwhile read.
