THREE-DIMENSIONAL ANIMATION

In my opinion this is a technique which has had nowhere near the coverage that it deserves. Few authors have solely concentrated on three-dimensional animation. Some of those that have, have produced books which have been disappointing. The following books are worthy of note, however:

3D Animation

Animation History
2D Animation Other Books of Interest

By all accounts, this book is essential reading. I haven't had chance to read it myself yet, but understand that it is packed full of useful hints and tips. Aardman, a company based in Bristol, is one of the biggest successes in the new wave of British animation. This book illustrates the techniques that they use. I was surprised by some of the reviews that this book has had. When I read it, I thought that it was very interesting. It contains some useful information for three-dimensional animation.
